Almighty and Eternal God, Thou hast appointed Thine only ­begotten Son Jesus Christ Our Only Lord and Redeemer of the world, and willed to be appeased by His Blood. Grant, we beseech Thee, that we may worthily adore this Price of our salvation, and through His power be safeguarded from the evils of this present life, so that we may rejoice in His fruits forever in Your Heavenly kingdom, through the same Christ Jesus Our Only Lord and Saviour Who lives and reigns with Thee in the unity and power of Thy Holy Spirit our Paraclete unto the endless ages of ages to come.
